Shashank has worked with Professional Assistance for Rural Development (PRADAN) for over three years. During this period, he was engaged in promoting women collectives and their capacity building in farming, livestock and watershed management in Bastar, Chattisgarh. A graduate of Indian Institute for Forest Management (IIFM), he had worked as a software engineer at Accenture after completing his undergraduate degree in engineering. His research interests include natural resource management, livelihoods, and gender. He is currently working on an assessment of socio-economic and ecological benefits of various water harvesting structures.
